SF from Alameda coastline 2907a

The pictures of San Francisco in the adjacent pictures in this set were taken from Alameda, which was the site of the Naval Air Station Alameda. This picture is taken from a beach on Alameda island, about 7 miles from the San Francisco peninsula. The tower visible on the left side of the picture is Sutro Tower on Twin Peaks, a transmission tower that was necessary for TV/radio transmission in the 70's. At the right side of the picture can be seen the towers of the suspension portion of the Bay Bridge that lead into the Financial District.
