Connecting the Castro with the Financial District is a combination of subway (not shown) and historic trolleys -- the historic trolleys also run to Fisherman's wharf. For many years the subway and trolleys, due to being the route from shopping to work to home, were clearly locations where men occasionally met potential sex partners.
