East Midland garage at Clowne – 30 May 1984 (843-8)

Wednesday 30 May 1984 – A snapshot of the East Midland Motor Services Limited garage in Creswell Road, Clowne in National Bus Company days.

The East Midland business had its origins in the Clowne area having been founded by W. T. Underwood Limited in the early 1920s and re-named East Midland Motor Services in 1927. The company was taken over by the Stagecoach Group in 1989.

The garage was subsequently closed. The property still exists and two separate commercial companies trade here.
