Saturday 23 May 1998 – United States Air Force 97B 1226 employed by the 100th Air Refuelling Wing Transportation Squadron at RAF Mildenhall. Despite adopting a ‘buy locally’ policy since the early 1980s this left hand drive Blue Bird has without doubt originated in the USA. New 1997.

An interesting vehicle David. Maybe it is because the body seems quite basic but the way the back of the bus sticks out a long way beyond the rear wheels is more noticeable than on the modern, more 'cushioned' looking vehicles.
