Saturday 25 March 2023 – Mulleys Motorways vehicles parked at the Ixworth premises. Left to right:

X472 KUT, a Jonckheere Mistral bodied Volvo B10M acquired from Ruffle’s Coaches of Castle Hedingham. It had been new in October 2000 to McPhails Coaches, Newarthill, Lanarkshire.

MUI 6449, an Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL new to Dublin Bus in November 2000 as their AV107 (00D 70107). When imported to Britain it received registration number X56 XAW although Mulleys re-registered it to MUI 6449 in May 2016.

SJ02 AAW, an Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL new to Dublin Bus in April 2002 as their AV248 (02 D 10248).

YN04 UJS, an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD that was new to Nottingham City Transport (736) in May 2004.

When working at Mulleys I preferred to be a local service driver and rarely drove on private hire coach work. On my only outing to London it was X472 KUT I drove as a number two coach on a private hire and was well out of my comfort zone!
