Mulleys Motorways V164 EFS at Ixworth - 19 Mar 2010 (DSCN3890)

Friday 19 March 2010 (0649) – This former Lothian Buses (Edinburgh, Scotland) Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SPD had just entered the yard of Mulleys Motorways in Ixworth for the first time having just been purchased. V164 EFS was new in February 2000 as Lothian number 164 and carries their harlequin livery.

Some of the individual harlequin pattern shapes had already been removed and the remainder required removal before the re-paint could be undertaken. Quite a laborious task as it turned out. However, when outshopped in Mulleys orange livery it looked exceptional. As the only Dart model in the fleet it seemed to always be referred to as ‘the Dart’ rather than by its registration number.

Operated for a time with its original registration number it was then re-registered as MUI 6449.
