Wallace Arnold H636 UWR at the Smoke House Inn, Beck Row – 16 Sep 1993 (204-29)

Thursday 16 September 1993 – Wallace Arnold Tours H636 UWR, a Plaxton Paramount bodied Volvo B10M new in March 1991, parked for the night at the Smoke House Inn, Beck Row near Mildenhall whilst on a five day ‘Constable Country’ tour.

The Smoke House Inn was rather popular with a number of different tour companies large and small using it as a base for their five day tours to different East Anglian tourist spots like Cambridge, Constable Country, Norfolk Broads, Suffolk Villages etc. The coaches tended to arrive on Monday afternoons and leave on Friday mornings.

The 1991 intake of coaches to the Wallace Arnold Tours fleet included 60 Plaxton Paramount bodied Volvo B10Ms and 1 Plaxton Paramount bodied Dennis Javelin.
