A Borderbus Scania Omnicity just about to pull away when working service 146 to Southwold. Looks like it could be 211 (BB06 BUS).


Closer to the camera is First Eastern Counties Buses 47473 (SN14 EAG), a Wright StreetLite DF that was new to First Manchester (First Pioneer) in May 2014.

About an hour earlier I photographed this bus when it was out of service being worked on by an engineer in Castle Meadow. It seems the man dealt with the problem successfully because after resuming service at 1120 it worked on cross city service 10 (Eaton to Mousehold Heath) until the end of the day. When working the 0857 trip from Eaton it only got as far as Castle Meadow (0918) before requiring attention. Consequently, it failed to continue and cover 0925 to Mousehold Heath/0933 to Eaton/1017 to Mousehold Heath/1053 to Castle Meadow slotting back into service at 1120 bound for Eaton.
