First Eastern Counties Buses in Norwich - 2 Dec 2022 (P1140148)

Friday 2 December 2022 (1021) – The city bus services in Norwich operated by First Eastern Counties Buses Limited are grouped into different coloured brandings. The buses themselves carry the appropriate colour on the frontal area with the remainder of the bus carrying fleet colours. Graphics on the rear identify the colour group and service numbers.

Two Plaxton President bodied buses that had been new to First subsidiaries in London for Transport for London (TfL) contracted services over 20 years ago are seen here in Castle Meadow with branding for the Purple Line services 36/37/38.

Left: 32201 (LT52 WTF), new to First Centrewest (VTL1201) in October 2002 has a Volvo B7TL chassis. (Looks like the bus wash brushes weren’t quite meeting up when the rear of this bus was last washed).

Right: 33003 (LK51 UZS) was new to First Capital (TNL1003) in September 2001 has a Dennis Trident chassis.
