It is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL new in October 2008. Timetables for all the various bus services serving Southwold show this pickup as ‘Kings Head’ however the Adnams hostelry, on the right and behind the bus, is currently closed ‘until further notice’.

Tuesday 19 July 2022 (0740) - First Eastern Counties Buses 37043 (YJ06 XLT), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL new in May 2006 to First West Yorkshire, seen arriving in Southwold to take up its first working of the day on the 0735 service 99A to Halesworth and Bungay. It wears the Coastal Reds livery for the services worked from Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft garages. Interestingly the vehicle is fitted with guidewheels which remain from its time operating on busway routes in Leeds. Note the garden ornament behind the wall under the tree, hedgehogs aren’t really that big in Southwold!

Tuesday 29 March 2022 (1024) – First Eastern Counties Buses Limited 37569 (AU58 ECN) seen close to the company depot in Caister Road, Great Yarmouth when working Coastal Clipper service 1A from Lowestoft to Martham. It is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL new in October 2008. The destination display advises that the bus is on diversion although this isn’t hereabouts but I believe it was in Corton where Anglian Water had to carry out emergency repairs to a sink hole.

Taking the right lane to do some more laps of the town centre is driver training bus 66840 (MX05 CGE), a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE new to First Manchester new in June 2005. Coming up in the left lane to turn and cross the Haven Bridge when heading to Lowestoft on service X1 is 33811 (YX63 LJY). This is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D new in September 2013 in the livery for Coastlink services X1 and X11. The cones and related signage at the roadside were in use for a number of overnight closures for bridge maintenance,
