A U.S. Air Force Blue Bird in The Street, Barton Mills - 6 Oct 2013 (DSCN9598)

Sunday 6 October 2013 (1435) – A United States Air Force Blue Bird bus seen in The Street, Barton Mills.

As part of the redesigning and resurfacing of Fiveways roundabout on the A11 road different parts of the roundabout were closed over various October weekends. During this first weekend the work was carried out between the eastbound A11 carriageway round to the middle of the Brandon Road (A1065) and various diversions were in place resulting in this bus being photographed where it would not normally never be seen.

Bell Lane is on the right. The white building prominent in the photograph is a private residence but in days gone by it was the local nursing home where many new born babies entered the world supervised by the local midwives.
