Mil-Ken Travel JIL 2189 (D297 XCX) at King’s Lynn - 4 May 1999 (412-18)

Tuesday 4 May 1999 – Mil-Ken Travel JIL 2189, a Duple 340 bodied DAF SB2300 that had been new to Smiths of Alcester in April 1987 registered D297 XCX, parked at King’s Lynn bus station having worked a shopper’s service from Red Lodge via Mildenhall, Lakenheath etc.

Alongside is P760 OCL, a Mercedes-Benz Vario, which had brought shoppers from the area around the village of Docking. I believe it was a voluntary operation by the Docking Community.
