Ribble Motor Services 1661 (JDB 121N) in Rochdale – 21 Mar 1992 (157-8)

Saturday 21 March 1992 – Ribble Motor Services Limited 1661 (JDB 121N), a Northern Counties bodied Leyland Atlantean that had been new to Greater Manchester PTE as their 7576 in July 1975, seen here just after leaving Rochdale bus station (background right) bound for Bury and Bolton on service 399.

The once mighty Ribble company had been privatised in March 1988 and was initially bought by its management. However, in May 1989 the company was acquired by Stagecoach Holdings.
