Saturday 8 June 2002 – First Eastern Counties Buses 64 (C372 CAS) seen in the High Street in Mildenhall working service 130 to Bury St. Edmunds via Brandon and Thetford. Not the most direct service from Mildenhall to Bury St. Edmunds where it was scheduled to arrive at 1205.

It was policy under First Group for the major urban centres to take delivery of new vehicles and for the older models to be cascaded to subsidiaries with more rural operations. As a result Eastern Counties received quite a variety of cascaded older types like this Alexander RL bodied Leyland Olympian that had been new to Highland Scottish in July 1986.
