First Eastern Counties 454 (M201 VWW) in Mildenhall – 19 Aug 2000

Saturday 19 August 2000 – First Eastern Counties Buses 454 (M201 VWW) seen leaving King Street, Mildenhall when working a morning run of the Thetford to Newmarket service 200. It is a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart that had been new to Yorkshire Rider as their 3201 in May 1995.

In the background is Stagecoach Cambus 451 (N451 XVA), a 1995 Plaxton Expressliner bodied Volvo B10M which, despite wearing the livery and lettering for the National Express Cambridge-London ‘Express Shuttle’, was working service X10 (Cambridge-Newmarket-Mildenhall-Lakenheath).
