Capital Citybus 166 (K888 TKS) and RM429 (XMD 81A ex WLT 429) at Showbus - 26 Sep 1993 (205-10)
Sunday 26 September 1993 – A line up of Capital Citybus vehicles at the Showbus Rally at Duxford Airfield.

166 (K888 TKS), a Northern Counties Palatine II bodied Volvo Olympian new in April 1993.

RM429 (XMB 81A), an AEC-Park Royal Routemaster new to London Transport in 1960/1961 with registration number WLT 429.

On the edges of the photograph were 631 (J631 HMH), an Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz O 811 D new in April 1992 and 739 (KRS 539V), a Leyland National 2 new to Alexander (Northern) as NPN5 (GSO 5V) in March 1980

The company came into being in December 1990 when Ensign sold its Dagenham area tendered bus network to the CNT Group, owners of Citybus that operated in Hong Kong. The Chinese characters reflect the lettering carried by the group’s Hong Kong buses. In July 1998 Capital Citybus was sold First Group and it eventually became part of the First London operations.
