Cambridge Coach Services G97 RGG on board 'Stena Explorer' - 11 May 1996

Saturday 11 May 1996 (approx 0315, yes that’s right 0315!) Cambridge Coach Services Limited 397 (G97 RGG), seen on the vehicle deck of the ‘Stena Explorer’ HSS twin hulled ferry when working a ‘Classic Day Tour’ to Dublin, Ireland. CCS regularly ran tours of this type which involved night travel overnight Friday night to the destination and travelling back home overnight Saturday night thus giving something like 10 hours at the destination. The coach, a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M, was new to Park’s of Hamilton in 1990. Driver Mike Dockerill is standing by the coach door as the passengers alight.
