I'm rather pleased with finding this little springtail, its the second time I have found a colony of them. They have been discovered living in various parts of the UK now but as far as I know are still un-named. There will be plenty more shots of them. This one was taken at 7x magnification and cropped to get a decent image.

I'm rather pleased with finding this little springtail, its the second time I have found a colony of them. They have been discovered living in various parts of the UK now but as far as I know are still un-named. There will be plenty more shots of them comming up to show the various colours and stages. These were found at Shrewsbury, Shropshire, UK. They are tiny, the largest I have found in this colony so far measuring about 0.8mm in length.
The other interesting point is that the colony is on a large plant of Hedera colchica 'Dentata Variegata' , the first time I think it's been found on this plant.

I simply thought this beautiful moss needed to be recorded, hence the picture. Taken at The Bog, Shropshire.
