Rings of Kintyre
Campbeltown is one of five areas in Scotland categorised as a distinct malt whisky producing region, and is home to the Campbeltown single malts, The weathered steel rings represent the copper straps around a Whisky Barrel, and the sculpture is called Am Baraille.

The Island seen through the rings is Davaar Island which is located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch off the east coast of Kintyre, in Argyll and Bute, It is a tidal island, linked at low tide to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin,

A flat light kind of day but a large view may be worthwhile,

Gotcha on that thanks Roger,.,nine ! so 'that's' why he visits ! :-)..// .looking on G/Earth [11/2021] I see the rings are fenced off,. no doubt it'll be something to do with 'health and safety' at the time,.

Indeed it was David, the rings sat on the concrete and H&S people said it was a trip hazzard especially for children,
