These are fishing baskets known as Creels and they are dropped overboard in lines (known as leaders) generally from small boats and the catch is mainly Langoustine, Lobsters and other crustaceans.

Those creels make for fantastic foreground interest Roger........the shapes, lines and colours are very attractive.........and you've captured them in super detail.

The distant green landscape looks wonderful and despite the grey clouds, the light is lovely. I like the fishing boat and I'm guessing you waited for it to get in right position before shooting!
