Østbanehallen

Built in 1854 and extended in 1882, Østbanestasjonen was the station for trains to Eidsvoll and Eastern Norway. When adjacent Oslo Sentralstajon was opened in 1981 Østbanehallen was repurposed and now houses shops and cafés/restaurants.

Als Bahnhofshalle schon interessant, nach der Umwidmung noch mehr - finde ich.

Da möchte ich doch gleich ein Pendant dazu bringen, eine Markthalle am Hafen in Helsinki

Schönen Dank, Volker! Ja, das haben sie gut gemacht und die schöne Deckenkonstruktion kommt zur Geltung. Der Hauptbahnhof dagegen ist Betonbrutalismus pur;-)

Thanks very much, Amelia! The shops here are rather discreet, in front of the new station there's a big shopping centre on several floors;-) But you can use the side entrance and avoid the shops if you want take a train:-)

Ja, bei diesem Namen könnte man es vermuten, dass die Züge in den Osten von Norwegen gefahren sind. Naja, jetzt hat sich das erledigt und es gibt eine neue und sinnvolle Nutzung für diesen Bahnhof. Gut gemacht!
