Bodø Harbour

Im NaBu- Kreuzfahrt-Ranking belegen Havila und Hurtigruten den ersten Platz, was Nachhaltigkeit angeht- allerdings wegen des Einsatzes von LNG noch mit viel Luft nach oben.

Havila nutzt neben LNG die derzeit größten Batteriepakete (6,1MWh), mit denen 4 Stunden lang rein elektrisch gefahren werden kann. Im Hafen werden diese mit Landstrom aufgeladen, während der Fahrt ist neben dem LNG-Antrieb immer eines in Betrieb, während das andere lädt.

Die Norweger haben es gut, weil sie sehr billig und umweltfreundlich Strom produzieren und anbieten können. Und die Schiffsbatterien im Hafen damit aufzuladen, ist sinnvoll. Aber ich verstehe nicht, was gut daran sein soll, während der Fahrt eine Batterie aufzuladen und die andere zu entladen.

On all my trips I have seen plenty of local travellers, they usually don'rt do a whole tour but travel from harbour to harbour. The ships always keep a contingent of cabins for locals- they have to do this by law because they get state subsidies.

Herzlichen Dank, Hubs! In Norwegen wird das schneller gehen als bei uns, deren Autos, Busse etc. sind heute zu einem großen Teil schon elektrisch unterwegs und elektrische Fjordfähren werden auch immer mehr.
Wenn dann die MSC-Stinker in den 2030ern nicht mehr in den Geiranger und die anderen Fjorde dürfen, bewegt sich da vielleicht auch was....
