The former shipyards of Trondhjems mekaniske Værksted (TMV) were turned into a new neighbourhood with housing, shops and bars/restaurants. Im NaBu- Kreuzfahrt-Ranking belegen Havila und Hurtigruten den ersten Platz, was Nachhaltigkeit angeht- allerdings wegen des Einsatzes von LNG noch mit viel Luft nach oben. Havila nutzt neben LNG die derzeit größten Batteriepakete (6,1MWh), mit denen 4 Stunden lang rein elektrisch gefahren werden kann. Im Hafen werden diese mit Landstrom aufgeladen, während der Fahrt ist neben dem LNG-Antrieb immer eines in Betrieb, während das andere lädt. HFF! Landstrom:

Ursprünglich 1973 als Focus-Kino eröffnet (Arch.Gunnar Bøgeberg Haugen), wurde das Gebäude ab 2003 völlig entkernt und, umgebaut nach den Plänen von HRTB Arkitekter AS, 2005 als Bibliothek wiedereröffnet. Beim Umbau blieb vom Kino lediglich das freitragende Betonschalendach im Stil des Architekten Félix Candela (Candela-Schale) erhalten. The eagle and the puffin are new artworks made from plastic waste collected on clean-up trips on the island of Magerøya. They are a collaboration between the 7th grade of Honningsvåg school and Linda Hansen, Bente Floer and Erica Kimberly. The artwork in the 3rd PiP is older.. Puffin
