Novice monks at Gom Kora
Novice monks hurrying to the temple to celebrate a puja for the King's forthcoming marriage. As the ceremony is rather repetitive some of the young ones fell asleep which resulted in lots of giggles from the others.

Die Leute auf dem Land leben von Subsidenzlandwirtschaft, reich sind die alle nicht. Es war auch durchaus üblich, dass Familien mit vielen Kindern welche an Paare ohne Kinder zum Aufziehen (und Helfen) gegeben haben.
Bei uns in Süddeutschland wurden Kinder armer Leute von ihren Eltern früher auch zum Arbeiten und Durchfüttern auf Höfe im Alpenraum geschickt.
