Mervyn Peake wrote much of Gormenghast on Sark, and his Mr. Pye is set there. Beautiful place, beautiful books. Shame about the fence, crawling across sounds fun !

There's the story of the guy from Little Sark who went to the pub on Sark. On the way back he balanced on the cannon on the Sark end- if he didn't fall down he went over La Coupée, if he fell down he went to sleep beside the cannon;-)

I find much to like about this image, Gudrun. Particularly the relaxed but no doubt very efficient fence and also the way you included the nearby water-bound rock.

Danke, Ko! Ohne Geländer hätten mich da keine 10 Pferde rüber gebracht;-) Irgendwann in ferner Zukunft wird der Grat auseinanderbrechen...

Interessant, wie der Weg scheinbar aus dem Foto führt. Der Himmel ist aber auch Millimeterarbeit, bewusst so geschnitten?

Ja, dort hinten geht es nochmal um die Ecke;-) Die Millimeterarbeit ist meinem schiefen Horizont geschuldet, nach dem Geraderücken war nicht mehr übrig:-( Mein schlimmster Fehler- mehr als die Hälfte aller Fotos sind schief. Ich habe meinen Auslösefinger im Verdacht, weil alle nach rechts abstürzen.

Thank you, Diane! It's a "must" sight on Sark;-) There are no cars on the island, just tractors, bikes and horse drawn carriages. The latter are for tourists who don't want to walk or cycle;-)
