Sort of #24 "A clock tower" as well, but will post another for that later...

Three locally famous landmarks:

- Tampere railway station clock tower
- Näsinneula observation tower
- Finlayson old chimney

Indeed - your main picture here, it looks so strange: such a large "tower" only because of a watch. The dimension I didn't imagine in the pics before (50 images ...)

Architecture is strange, sometimes! =D

Today the tower also works as a link tower, but when it was built in 1937, it's main purposes were to literary provide a landmark (easy to find the train station), work as a clock tower, and space for advertisements.

I am glad it seem to be accessible to public. Most of the local Aamulehti newspaper articles requires a paid subscription.
