HWH[25] - Hexham water tower [HWW]

This water tower, or more specifically, the iron panels making up the actual tank, has deteriorated significantly [hence being fenced off]. This is a tremendous shame, as the size of the tank indicates the relative importance of Hexham as the railway station for an important & busy rural market town with an extensive hinterland, which extended to the Allendale Branch and the Border Counties line areas.
