Amélie Faivre (1837-1897); French soprano at the Théâtre Lyrique Paris, where in 1857 she made her debut in the French première of Von Weber’s opera “Euryanthe”. She created various première-roles e.g. of Martine in Gounod's "Le médecin malgré lui" (1858), Siebel in Gounod's "Faust" (1859), Mazet in Gounod's "La colombe" (1860), Dona Carmen in Maillart's "Les pecheurs de Catane" (1860), Rhodina in Reyer’s “Erostrate” (1862) and Kaleb-Guemare in Maillart's "Lara" (1864).

Marie Faivre; French soprano who,like her sister Amélie Faivre, also sang at the Théâtre Lyrique but in minor roles. She sang at the première of Victor Massé's "La fée Carabosse" (1859).
