Giulia Grisi (1811-1869); Italian soprano who sang several premières. The most known are Adalgisa in Bellini's "Norma" (1831), Elvira in Bellini's "I puritani" (1835), Amelia in Mercadante's "I briganti "(1836) and Norina in Donizetti's "Don Pasquale" (1843) together with her husband the tenor Giovanni Mario in the rôle of Ernesto.
