Circle skirt
| |
|
This is the skirt I made from a thrifted tablecloth that probably used to be a bedsheet.
Circle skirt
| |
|
This is made from what I THOUGHT was a bedsheet, but when I got it home from the thriftshop I realized someone had already cut it (and hemmed it) into a huge circle. So, a circle skirt it became.
Crocheted hem
| |
|
These thrifted trousers were great--I wore them a lot, and the hems suffered for it. They were too ragged to keep wearing, so I cut them even and added a crocheted edge instead--a quick rescue for a favorite garment.
Crochet-altered blouse
| |
|
Another quick fix--this thrifted blouse is a nice weight, and I like the pattern, but it didn't fit the way I wanted. So I cut down the center front and added a few rows of crochet. (I promise the hem edge is even in reality--the photo just doesn't show that well.)

Clay desserts

Some of the adult Hands on Art projects--the lesson involved making clay desserts, painted with temperas. Mine are the chocolate cheesecake, eclair, fudge, and taffy in the middle...

Bundle of thrifted patterns
| |
|
14 patterns for $2.99, at a thriftshop yesterday. They were taped together, so I could only see how many there were, and that most of them were "very easy very Vogue" or similar. But for the price, it seemed like a fun gamble.
Thrifted patterns, unbundled
| |
|
14 old patterns for $2.99! Okay, some aren't useful (I'll pass on the 80s headbands and the Shari Belafonte Harper dress, thanks), but if they're mostly "very easy," and mostly in my size or close enough... score!
