Until recently, we were still getting these locos on Nuclear flask trains.
Wish you a good week.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Roger (Grisly) clubYour quick visit is much appreciated. Thank you!
I am so happy that you like the scene.
Yes, these Class 20's have had a very long life. This one was built in 1966, and also featured in the film 'Goldeneye' (which was filmed at Nene Valley Railway).
Best Wishes, and a Good Week ahead,
Peter

Another very beautiful capture from the pretty station! and very nice colours!
It would be so nice to have picnic there...It reminded me the picnic area of Highley Station!
HTT and have a nice week.

I'm happy that you had a good look!!
Of course we shared the time here very much. Besides the picnic area there was a nice playground for young children. Certainly a resemblance to Highley!!!!
Best Wishes, HTT, and keep safe

What a lovely scene. It reminds me of when I used to walk down
to our local town Railway Station to meet my friends who came to
school by rail, from Tisbury and Salisbury....that was a long time ago!!
All the best,
Rosa.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Rosalyn HilborneThank you so much for your very kind visit.
I'm pleased that you have enjoyed it!
I too remember many days of getting the last train home after happy nights out with friends!
Maybe that's why we have special memories which still last to this day!
Best Wishes, HTT, and keep safe

Somewhere else on my "to visit" list !
I do like Class 20s, but I wonder what the visibility is like when travelling bonnet first, it must be similar to looking around the boiler on a steam locomotive.
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to StoneRoad2013 clubThank you for visiting!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
This railway is well worth visiting on a gala day, but photographic opportunities outside of stations are somewhat limited.
As for the class 20, I have never driven one, so don't know any more than you do, but as I remember they always seemed to be used in pairs, nose to nose....,
Best Wishes, HTT, and keep safe
Peter
