A view ove the Jarama Valley from a terrace to the Sierra de Guadarrama, including my beloved Sierra de La Cabrera at the left.

In the flat owned by the lady born in St Day, Cornwall. Some wag on Panoramio said I only took this pic because of the pretty girl on the balcony opposite. In fact I didn't see her until he pointed her out!
I'm not sure quite why I like this. Something to do with a pleasing, if not classical, composition I suppose (certainly not because of said pretty girl!)
Mountain stream
Mountain stream on granite. 2 shots for the price…
Granite par excellence!

My favourite walking territory (alongside Cornish sea cliffs and coasts)
Sierra de La Cabrera.
Granite and broom and spot the rock window!

I don't think I've posted this before (but certainly on Panoramio). Typical granite forms up on the ridge.

Looking for lunch? Looking a little wistfully at me perhaps? 12 years ago but I remember it as a scorcher! The following day I was back in Cornwall for a couple of months as there are no classes to be had in Spain in the summer and so no earnings :o(
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9EbR0ckb40 A bit of Roxy Music doesn't do any harm!
Poppy field. HANWE everybody!

Looking forward to spring!
Sadly poppies don't thrive here any more. A new farmer wants profitable fields and who can blame him? Btw, that white wall has been knocked down between 2015 and now. I can't find it on Google maps but I know exactly where I was at the time!
Sight and sound. A bit of Rachmaninov didn't harm anyone!

Pedraza, Segovia. I don't think this has appeared on ip before but it is possible. Certainly it was on Pano.
Sight and sound; A good reaction I feel. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBA7nkHsapQ Sorry about the horrendous timing of the adverts!
The Sentinal

The Sentinal, or Guardian, of the Mountains, is tolerant of these minor irritants!
Cancho Largo, La Sierra de La Cabrera.
Sight and sound, She does a very good reaction to this classic from Led Zeppelin. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJlfqEJEmVA
Another one of this strange cloud formation.

My sister's shot in September last year from a terrace. I've posted another of her's of this cloud before.
HFF! (Yes there is one!)

The new(ish - 2014) metro station Paco de Lucía, named in honour of the great flamenco guitarist. I posted this on Pano but not here - I think not anyway. The artists are Okuda San Miguel and Rosh333.
I have posted a music link below. Entre Dos Aguas, a very famous song, at least in Spain. There is a frame in the vid that is the template for Paco's portrait here.
Worth a listen;

La Sierra de La Cabrera. My usual walking route goes up this arroyo and just occasionaly, after rain, it bursts into life!
Something held me back from posting this for 11 years and I can't imagine now what it could've been!
Spot the climber

La Sierra de La Cabrera. There are a number of rock climbs along the ridge of all grades to suit all capabilities.
