Basset Cove, North Cliffs, Cornwall. Lots of seaweed making rock-hopping a dangerous pastime. I treaded very gingerly and got past here eventually without mishap.

La Sierra de La Cabrera in spring. Good walking country and the wildflowers fill the air with a heady scent!

May is the best time to walk in La Sierra de La Cabrera, when the spring flowers are in profusion.

Looking from Porthcadjack, past Basset Cove and Crane Islands, to Greenbank Cove, my low tide coastal route in reverse.
This is closer to high tide than low tide which is why I'm on the high path rather than following the shore line!

The traverse of the ridge is an easy walk in places, a moderate scramble in others and some occasional semi-exposed three points on the rock scrambling. But even these can be avoided by convenient paths, if desired.

A good time to walk in the mountains here; pleasant temperatures and mellow colours.

The granite mountain of La Sierra de La Cabrera. Viewed from the upper slopes of El Cancho Gordo, along the ridge to El Pico de La Miel at the far end.
A little cropping and that was it. No other editing needed in this excellent December light!
Granite inspired Henry Moore (possibly!)

At low tide I walk the length of coastline you see here - in either direction. It's great fun rock-hopping and occasionally wading through pools etc. It takes 1.5 hours (or more if you stop to take photos or just admire the scenery!)

Granite scenery. The three peaks L to R of El Cancho Largo, El Cancho Gordo and El Cancho de La Bola. As you all know by now, this is my all-time favourite walking area, with the sea cliffs and coastal paths in Cornwall a very close second!
