It is a long way to home then ~ A magnificent view & nice clouds

I used to live in Madrid centre, Nick. Further away but easier access to the mountains as it's the start of the only bus route there. Now, I live nearer but have to go into Madrid and then back out again. Before, it took 1.5 hours. Now, at least 2.5 hours each way. And thanks to Brexit I can no longer drive a car. At one time I could hire a car for the day. Owning a car was never an option here.
So once I am fit enough to walk in the mountains again, it'll mean a very early start and a late finish and much more expensive, even though I now live much closer!

What a superb view from up there!! You must miss not being able to go!

Indeed I do, Eunice but the sight of the Sierra from the house every day (weather permitting - Saharan dust storms and pollution spreading out from Madrid and mixing with the perennial Summer heat haze notwithstanding) provides a great spur to getting fit enough again to tackle the mountains as I did before (twice a week at one time!).

Wow what a picture Andy. I love the view from the top of these mountains. Those vultures are circling around looking for food I suppose. With my baby seagull chicks on the porch roof, there is a hawk flying around, but the parents and their gang soon see it off.

Well these are vultures, Jennt so they only go for dead meat! Your seagull chicks would be quite safe!

If you look closely, Rosa you'll see three vultures wheeling on the thermals!
