An interesting looking structure..............it and the surrounding large rocks stands out well in the surrounding landscape. A nicely composed and taken shot Andy (yay.......I got your name right)!

The people at the base of the monument look like a hoody-wearing pair of young lads. As to the "public subscriptions" I would guess that they were probably taken directly out of the miners pay!

You may be right, Keith. His Baronship might well have been a sterling geezer but I retain my suspicions about the whole thing, as I can see you do too!
