These rocks bowled me over when I first encountered them, Keith. And I didn't have a camera or cameraphone for my first couple of dozen forays here. So I had to change that and a fortuitous gift of a second hand Nokia N95 cameraphone (far better camera than phone) changed all that!

I dont know if I have ever seen any, we don’t have them here, but we have a couple of royal eagles around Penedos... hunters don’t like them for obvious reasons and me because of my little one...

They need crags and cliffs to nest among. I have seen black vultures here occasionally and only once have I seen an imperial eagle. It flew very close to me as I was on my cameraphone talking to my sister and by the time I had switched to camera mode it was far too late!!!!
But a majestic sight!!

Sorry, wrong info, my friend Américo just told me there are vultures and sent me a film prooving it, he filmed them eating one of his sheep that was found dead, certainy attacked by wild dogs...:

Wow Any that a spectacular presentation of such rugged landscape. The vultures were a nice addition, they were kind enough to settle for a time and you were able to get them into the image.
