The "New Gate" is the oldest... HFF

The "New Gate" is the oldest... HFF
Built from the 15th-18th C. it includes two towers and is the only remaining gate of the old city wall of Quintin. Known as the "Archive Tower", it was rebuilt in the 18th century to house the archives. The "Turret roof" dates from this period, but the base of the tower retained its original structure.

Thanks Carol, the whole city is really beautiful, it has the label "Petite cité de caractère" (small city of character) which aims to highlight the authenticity and diversity of the heritage of certain small towns with quality and coherent architectural buildings. Have a nice weekend.

Thanks David, I think the perspective is quite interesting here with the uphill alley directing your gaze to the steps that leads to the church. Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much for your visit to my HFF picture, and very kind comment. It is much apreciated. I am so pleased that you found it interesting.
Let me tell you about the picture:
I was at the seaside to take some pictures. I noticed the reflections on the window of the building which very close to the sea. There were some sail boats there... Maybe you can see also my silhouette and there. The sea is behind of me....

Best wishes
