HFF ~ Bolton Hall

A great place to reside no doubt, this great house built in the late 17th century and rebuilt after a fire in 1902 was and still is the residence of the Bolton Family (both Dukes & Barons). It is some 5km west of Leyburn in the Yorkshire Dales. The estate includes the historical Bolton castle.

Glad you liked it Stephan. The gate is inscribed with a 'B' which can only be the family name 'Bolton', however the right gate also has a G before it, I presume this is a first name (missing from the other side). The gate also has the date 1930 (or 1939) inscribed and so that will inform us when the gate was constructed perhaps?
