I'd never heard the term Lochan before today Herb, so I had to look it up. Everyday is a school day on Ipernity.

The sky looks really beautiful and the resulting light, especially on the surface of the water is very nice indeed. I like the look of the distant hills, and the rocky shoreline makes great foreground interest.

Ah yes we are never too old to learn Keith. Lochan is a most appropriate name for these small lochs, ponds and lakes. Glad you liked this but since it is taken with my ultra wide 12mm I have a job to pin it down on GE for the mountain names. Ironically GE has just updated its GE street view from that area with some most beautiful scenes in great conditions, that when I saw them wished I had taken them like that in such weather.

Wonderful landscape shot. Difficult to tell from the angle but I think the middle peak of the three in the distance might be Schiehallion.
