Hubberhome fenced bridge
A walk in a valley that we have not seen for many years. Its quite wild looking but most of it is surrounded by pastoral fields. To our left just some 30 metres or so is one of our favourite rivers: The River Wharfe. Our path goes on now for another 2-3km before turning back well above this spot and beyond. Always nice to see the wild summer flowers. The characteristic dead tree also giving our eyes something to dwell on.
Hubberholme is an old village in Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England, at the point where Langstrothdale meets Wharfedale. It is quite secluded and the nearest village is Buckden.
Have a good weekend.

Do/did the wharfedale hifi speakers originate in this district?
Oh, and HFF Herb.
Herb Riddle club has replied to GrahamH club"The British audio equipment brand Wharfedale, which is known for its loudspeakers, gets its name from the valley of Wharfe in Ilkley, Yorkshire, where Gilbert Briggs, the founder of the company, lived. The valley is still known as Wharfedale today. Briggs founded the company in 1932 and is credited with changing the face of Hi-Fi." - I too had Wharfedale speakers!
This spot is quite a long way from Ilkley though.
HFF, enjoy the weekend. Herb
