A view from Kylerhea

A view from Kylerhea
A fine little walk here above the Kylerhea Ferry crossing on the Isle of Skye. The bay across from us is on the mainland and shows a place called Bernera with Glenelg tucked away behind. The walk itself was called the Kylerhea Otter Haven walk and we walked to the Otter Hide without a single sighting. Ironically an Otter was playing just metres from our cottage window back at Balacara whilst we were here.

You jest my friend! We missed them here -in fact just about everywhere. It was sitting near our cottage window when we were NOT there. That being said I did in fact saw a glimpse of the same one once near our cottage.

Yes the light was getting quite nice at this time. A little milky but... We were rather peeved at not seeing any and then hearing that we missed our local one.

Thanks Roger. We once stayed at Glenelg and saw an Otter but our best one was at Ellery on Loch Caolisport. It was nice here though.

Hi Peter. I would have certainly told my viewers here if I had seen an eagle here. Rarer than Otters for me. Glad you know this place and yes, I can well imagine eagles but as I think now, I did see a rather big bird flying over the water and wondered what it was.
