The storms of Corsica

The storms of Corsica
Only minutes before taking this, the sun was burning my head and I feared for sun-burn. We are in the mountain town of Sartene just doing a short two hour trip here, and I am looking NE into the Island interior. As it happened, no rain dropped here but we heard and saw the lightning. We were to be hit by the downpour on getting back to the harbour of Propriano.

A lot of water came down, everywhere it seems but on this town where I am standing. We were drenched running from the coach to the ship -about 200yrds. Glad you liked it.

Wow! Such a wonderfully dramatic image Herb............the sky and clouds are simply amazing and the light is gorgeous!

I love the green and undulating landscape in the foreground and the mist/rain laden mountains in the middle of the shot. Outstanding..!!

Yes, excellent on full! I envy you, Herb. Have always wanted to spent time in Corsica, on the coast but mainly walking in the mountains. Alas, as with so much of my long term planning, it came to nothing!
