Scogliu Longu lighthouse, Propriano
After disembarking our ship we search nearby for the lighthouse we saw whilst sailing into port. Here we are on the rocky side whereas beyond the high quay is a sandy beach. Clear gentle waters beckon a swim but the water is still cool. In the distance are the green hills of this marvellous Island of Corsica.

Haha Lothar, you have made the same mistake here as Daniela, below. This is not the Italian Island of Sardinia but the French Island of Corsica (Korsika.) An easy mistake as they are close neighbours. ~ Anyway, many thanks for your thoughts here and you are so right in saying how many beautiful places we have, maybe especially in Europe. Your Italian recipe for a picnic here makes my mouth water :) Thank you.

A great place to swim Nick. Still a little cool on our visit though so not for us this time.

Yes the water here was particularly attractive with this fine stone sandy shoreline. Glad you liked my combination of sky and water.
