Northern Ireland: A Derry city wall view.

Welcome on this wall that encircles the old city centre. We see here the wonderful gem of the Guild Hall with its Tap House being the rectangular building on the left. Both buildings used by the merchants of Derry/Londonderry since its predecessor in 1689. See the cannons ready to defend the city.

A wonderful architectural shot Herb. The Guild Hall is certainly a beautiful looking building and it's set in very attractive surroundings. I like your composition here using both the pathway and the row of cannon balls as leading lines. Nicely sharp throughout as well and definitely deserves viewing large.

Two super PiPs as well...........a lovely street scene in the first one, showing us how busy this place can be and in the second one an impressive looking cannon.

Many thanks Keith. Only a quick trip through Londonderry here. The weather decided to stay dry for us. It was a most interesting place and we only regret not having more than our allotted two hours here. Glad you liked the PiPs too.
