Spring morning in Scotland

This is the view from the bottom of our holiday cottage garden (and also the view from our large French windows.) Its early morning and the sight of the mist is broken only by the chirps and whistles of the many birds that inhabit this part of the Queen Elizabeth Forest. In fact a male Cuckoo calls forlornly in the distance.

It was very nice indeed, giving us a real feeling of being on the very edge of a deep forest. The water is a big natural garden pond. We only saw a couple of ducks on that but saw and heard quite a lot of bird life. we also saw a Roe Deer a few days later in the late evening. Glad you liked this one.

Hi Peter. I am vey happy that you see this in the same way that I see it too. It was an exciting hour trying to capture as many of these mist scenes as possible. As you say, our garden pond was very nice for me. Afterwards it was back to bed with a hot coffee :)
