I see quite a few about nowadays, here in Lancashire too. Not many in Norway I bet.

This an udderly delightful image Herb................they're such majestic looking animals. The light in this scene is really beautiful and your depth of field is perfect. I especially like that you've caught the water dribbling from her mouth! I like the partial reflection too.

Thanks for that udderly delightful comment too my friend. I like these animals but one has to try to get them in a good landscape for best effect. I was lucky, the lighting was good here. I had in fact only just got out of the car and as usual looked over a slight boundary hill to spy this water with the cattle bathing. The rest is history. so good that you enjoyed it.

They are so beautiful Herb. A lot of them on the Somerset Levels. I like that you have caught the swish of the tail and as Keith says, dribbling from her mouth. Another star from me!

A lovely clear photograph Herb I like the side light on the beast. These highland cattle do seem to like a paddle, I only ever see them standing in water.

It's a superb image, Herb. I remember first seeing this breed of cattle at the Hebrides. I love the lovely tones of green and reflection and of course...this beautiful cow, so finely captured in your picture. Here time seems to have stopped...congratulations.

Adding my kudos - uh -- cow-dos?

As they, in theory stem from Scotland maybe we should say kooo-dos. I remember us staying in a lonely Scottish cottage where the neighbour was to bring us fresh milk... on arrival there, she apologised with "I'm sorry that I have no milk, the koooo's deed!" :)
