The Serpent Sh2 54

The Serpent Sh2 54
This is the very last nebula that is visible on our part of the milky way. from now to the very end of the year its Dust and stars.

Milky Way Core

This the far left hand side of the shot the very last bit of colour. To look at this it is so hard to think its not painted out in space but this is Random dust. I captured them in Ha S both red as that is what the area really is. The face is near perfect mouth nose eyes and ear. Do you get the feeling we really are being watched.

This was shot as best I could between rain storms and in part was made harder by the fact the tree next door killed the night at 2:30 am . So this is Using two filters that show up red and was put together as Ha SS

QHY183M -10c Ha Sii about 120 shots 5 min each filter over 4 part nights .. 30 shots each RGB 1 min exposure.

Its a real play ground out there we get to see a very small part of the sky but there are other part that as just as interesting in the dust lanes only trouble is the have to be shot LRGB and this is like a normal camera. Very badly effected by moon light more so than the straight one shot colour camera. My plan is to try out a few of the few days a month that are relatively cloud free and moon free. Slowly slowly learn.
