She is beautiful, Steve; and so clear. I've not seen these round our way but I'll certainly look out for them. I love the background colours. (Ah, I see from my Simpson & Day that they are coastal rather than in the Wheatbelt.)

I have only ever found these close to the coast as well even found her in Carnarvon as well. Wren are so hard to get photos of they move too fast you have to find one that poses for you like she did in the warm sunlight.

Excellent Natural history shot of this tiny wren. I can understand why it is called a Fairy wren. Great close-up detail too with your 300mm here.

The male I have some deep in scrub shots where the camera had far too much in the way to focus on but I have to say the 300 did very well. I do think the extra on the 150-600 is a bonus at a weight cost.

I will keep trying no matter what I will get a Male.
