Weekend guests caught up with me, so The Sunday Challenge, Wall, is rather late unfortunately. We live in a village with plenty of soft red sandstone, and many walls are constructed using it. It erodes easily in places, and the PiP shows one stone.

Wierd Folkersma, Gillian Everett, Indycaver (Norm), autofantasia and 13 other people have particularly liked this photo

I love these weathered walls, they look so attractive. Not heard of Ruyton-XI-Towns before, what an interesting name

Don't walls and buildings always look best when they are made of local stone? The wall is lovely but it's the PiP I like best!

The sandstone makes for a wonderful array of color variations. The moss (?) plays well with red tones. Bricks always seem to offer various combinations of textures. :)

A beautiful wall and nicely captured for the challenge Amelia, but if I had to choose between the two images I'd go for the one in the Notes ... I just love the detail and the erosion it captures! :)

Just remembered that I won't be able to add extra shots into the Notes soon as my membership expires in less than five days! :(

well the texture of this just draws me in and makes me want to walk down the length and see all the imperfections hiding in here.
