Here's a group where lovers of English can share photos which have a relevant connection to some beautiful words of poetry or literature in the English language.
Photos must be accompanied in the description by the source of the quotation. If possible, please give full details of the book or poem, rather than just the author's name, to help others find new works they may not otherwise have come across.
No nudity please, just wholesome, family-friendly photographs and words.
Questions about images.
This group is a place for real questions for research. Please no quizzes or jokes. There perhaps will be quite a few taxonomy questions. And there will be questions about unknown tools, devices etc. The first question (mine) is about the publishing date of a drawing by Charles Darwin. That gave me the idea to open this group.
Art prints made by you. All printmaking techniques welcome including:
Woodcuts, linocuts, wood engraving, etchings, potato prints, rubber stamps, footprints in the snow, engravings, lithographs, offset, silkscreen, pochoir, monotypes, monoprints, collagraphs etc.
Lewis Carroll's and Henry Holiday's masterpiece is the main topic of this group.
//
Beyond that, examples for (more or less deniable) pictorial allusions by artists to the works of other artists are welcome.
